Tutorial Transcript
Before you Bulk Assign a contact, make sure the contact already exists in the database. If you need to add a new contact use the link in the article for the Adding Contacts tutorial.
(01:16) To Bulk Assign a contact to multiple entity registers select Bulk Assign from under the Registers menu option. Choose the Register from the drop-down list (currently Bulk Assign is only available for Directors, Secretaries, Trustees and Professional Advisors), then use the control filter options to find the relevant entities. The Entities list will automatically update as you select filter options. Then simply click Assign All to add a new contact to the registers of all the entities displayed, or you can select the entities you wish to update by checking the appropriate boxes and then click Assign Selected. Check the list of selected entities is correct and click Assign to confirm.
(01:02) Now you can add the details for the contact to the registers. Start typing the name of the contact you want to add to the registers. The system will automatically search the database for matching contacts after you have entered 2 or more characters. Select the relevant contact and then add the Officer's Position and the Effective Date. You also have the option to add cessation details here which may be required if you are updating the register history for multiple entities. Once you have completed the relevant details click Save and the register details for all the entities will be updated simultaneously.
