Before investment transactions can be posted to the accounting records of an entity, the investment details need to exist in the Investment Library. The Investment Library is shared between all entities that hold the same investment and allow reporting across all holdings of the same investment.
This video will take you through how to add a new investment into the investment library.

Before you can add any investment transaction, your investment detail needs to exist within the investment library. Within WealthWorks+ select, Investments followed by Investment Library. If you need to add a new investment to the library, you can either click on the + (Add new) button on screen, or you can add an investment by selecting the 'Add Investment' option within 'Actions' displayed at the top of each page. Enter the short name of the investment, this will be displayed within the system. The Investment should be the Full Name of the Investment, as this will be displayed on reports and any other output. Select the Investment Type, Income Type and enter any of the identifier codes (SEDOL, ISIN, TIDM and/or Feed code). Note - The identifier codes which are displayed in WealthWorks+ can be configured within System Administration. When all fields are complete, click Save to add the record to the library.
