Tutorial Transcript
If a Chart of Accounts is no longer required and needs to be retired, you can disable it.
(00:18) Disabling the Chart of Accounts, will prevent it from being selected within an entity in the future. Locate your Chart of Account, by going into Options > Data Configuration > Chart of Accounts. Select the Chart of Account you wish to disable from the down menu, once selected, Click the Edit icon. Hovering over the 'i' will inform you that 'Disabling the chart of accounts will prevent it being used for new entities'. Remove the tick from 'Enabled' and click save. The Chart of Accounts will now be disabled.
(00:55) Any Chart of Accounts which is not in use, can be deleted. If you try to delete a Chart of Account which is in use by an entity or one which has Nominal Codes attached to it, you will not be able to. If all the Nominal Codes are removed, and Chart of Account is not in use, then it can be deleted. Click on 'Delete' and 'Confirm' you want to delete the selected Chart of Accounts. The Chart will then be removed form WealthWorks+ successfully.
