The Title field is no longer a free text field, but offers a pre-defined list for selection. This video tutorial will show you how to add, edit and delete unused titles in that list.

When creating a new individual contact or editing an existing record, the Title field is now a selectable list (from version 4.9). To manage the list, go to Options, Data Configuration, then Maintain Lists and select Individual Titles from the drop-down menu. 


(00:30) To add a new title, click on 'Enter a title' next to the Add icon. After typing out the title, press return/enter to save it to the list.


(00:40) To edit an entry, click on the title and make the changes, then press return to save.


(00:47) To delete a title, click on the Actions button, select Delete and then Delete again. When you delete a title, it is not removed from any contacts that it is currently being used in but it is removed from the list so it cannot be selected in future. The list also shows you how many records each title is used in, so you can easily delete an obscure or unused titles, if required.
