If the estate has uninvested cash within a stock and shares ISA wrapper the way to record this would be to create an investment under the IHT411_ 2 subsection within Load Data.
Within Load Data, in the Date of Death period, click the IHT Details button. Select the IHT411 from the Investment Type drop down list, and the 411_2 from the Subsection drop down list.
Next click the Add New Entry button next to the Investment drop down list to add a new investment.
Enter an appropriate Short Name and Full Name for this investment (e.g. 'Stocks and Shares ISA, or ISA Uninvested Cash)'. You will also be required to select a 'Type' for this investment. Select UK Dividend here, as there shouldn’t be any interest being paid.
Once done, complete the remaining details required.
Units should be entered equal to the value of the amount in the Stocks and Shares ISA (e.g. 2,500 for an ISA valued at £2,500).
Unit Price should be entered as 1.
Value would then calculate to be equal to the amount within the Stocks and Shares ISA (e.g. £2,500).
The uninvested cash within the Stocks and Shares ISA would then populate in the IHT411 form as expected.
