Tutorial Transcript

If you are responsible for approving timesheets, these can be managed under Time, Fees & Billing and then Timesheet Approval. This list displays all the timesheets currently awaiting approval and includes details of the timesheet owner and the period, the current status and the percentage complete and if it's ready for approval. You can also see a breakdown of rate types by clicking on the Columns button and selecting either the rate hours or percentage options.

(00:37) To approve a timesheet, click on the Actions button for the relevant user and timesheet period. Select Approve and then click Approve again. This will then post the time to the WIP and make it available for billing in Troika Accounting. It can also be reported on in the Time, Fees & Billing Dashboard. This action cannot be undone.

(00:59) To reject a timesheet, click on the Actions button for the relevant user and timesheet period and then Reject. You can add a comment, which will help the user correct any mistakes they have made on their timesheets, and then click Reject again.

(01:16) To approve or reject multiple timesheets at once, tick the check boxes in the Update column for the relevant entries and then select the appropriate option. Double check the list and click Save. You cannot reject or approve timesheets which have not yet been submitted.

(01:37) To view a users timesheet, click on the Actions button for the relevant user and timesheet period and then View. This will take you to that user's timesheet for that week. From here you can open the timesheet and then Approve, Reject or Edit it. If you want to edit a timesheet which has already been submitted for approval, the posting will need to be submitted again. But you can also submit the timesheet for approval on behalf of the user at this point.

(02:05) For more information on how to edit timesheet postings, watch the video tutorial on Completing and Posting Timesheets.

This tutorial is confirmed to be applicable from WealthWorks+ release 4.6.
