One of the features of WealthWorks+ is the ability to filter the information being displayed. This is useful if you only want to report on entities for a group of clients, or for a specific office or department.

(00:20) To create a new filter click the 'Add' icon and the filter options will open in a modal. The filter options are split into three tabs. The first tab lets you set the main control filters. The default controls are: Office, Client Group, Partners and Account Manager. However, these fields are customisable so may be different for your firm. You can also filter based on the Entity Status. The next tab has more advanced filters, and lets you set a filter for a Jurisdiction, Entity Name, Type or Category. The last tab allows you to set a filter for custom fields within the database. The options here are bespoke and will be unique to your firm.

(01:05) Once you have defined which options to be included in your filter, you can either just Apply Filter if you only need the filter for a one-off report, or tick the Save Filter box to save to the My Filter list for regular use. When you tick the save filter box you will be given further options so you can give the filter a descriptive name to help you identify the filter's settings. You can also save the filter to your use only or to save it as a Role Filter, which will allow all other users on the same user role as you to also access the filter, and you have the option to make it your default filter on log on. Once you have saved a filter it will appear in the drop-down menu list grouped into My Filters and Role Filters.

(01:48) When a filter is active the filters button will change from grey to red. The filters control the data displayed for both the dashboards and the entity list. If you cannot find an entity, first make sure your filters are turned off.

(02:02) If you wish to edit a filter, select the filter and then click the edit icon this will open the filter options again and you can make the appropriate changes, or delete the filter altogether. If you are changing a role filter, make sure you have discussed this with other users on the same role first.
