The IHT400 template includes each and every IHT form, which makes up the 400. This is to ensure the forms can ‘talk’ to each other, and information can be exchanged between them.
The entire IHT400 pdf document will open on all estates - even those requiring just a couple of the forms. There is no functionality to just open a bit of the pdf document (the relevant bit) without having full access to an Adobe professional product (not Reader alone). If you were to press the Print button with the form open, all pages would print. However, there is an alternative.
The IHT forms specific to your estate are controlled within Wealth Management and the menu option Estate Details - Edit, on the Inheritance Tax Account tab. Whether you are generating your form from within the Forms tab in Estate Details - Edit, or from the IHT & Other Tax Forms menu option, Troika will use the form selections you’ve made on your client to present a ‘Pages’ list at the bottom of the window. This is a list of all the pages for the IHT forms specific to your estate. Copy this list, then generate the form.
To print only the forms/pages specific to your estate within Adobe, use the File, Print option, pasting the page list into the ‘Pages’ field in Adobe before printing. Only the relevant forms will then print.
