Overview
The IHT100 is an IHT form produced for trust clients to tell HMRC about chargeable events when inheritance tax is payable on a trust. A number of clients have requested these forms, so we have included them within the product.
Producing the Forms
From the Wealth Management module, select the Client tab and the menu option IHT & Other Tax Forms. Select the form required and click Generate to produce the form.
Populated Information - IHT100c
The form currently populates the following information:
- Section A - About the settlor
- Title
- Surname
- First names
- Full address
- Date of birth
- Was the settlor born in the UK? (checked 'Yes' where the 'Place of Birth' on the individual is noted as 'United Kingdom', checked 'No' otherwise)
- Date of death
- Section B - Details of the person or business dealing with this event
- Full name or business name
- Contact name
- Full address
- Phone number
- Email address
- Capacity
- Reference
- Section C - About the trust
- Name of trust
- Date trust started
- Unique Tax Reference (UTR) or Unique Reference Number (URN) or the trust
All further information required should be entered manually at this time.
Once the form has been run, and on exiting, you must save your changes.
Populated Information - Other IHT100 forms
The other IHT100 forms do not currently populate with any information automatically. All information required should be entered manually at this time.
