Please note, this tutorial reflects the changes made to the Security Group functionality introduced in WealthWorks+ from release 4.16 onward. WealthWorks+ now allows you to manage your security groups, adjusting access for your users to specific groups of clients as opposed to all. This video tutorial will show you how to add, amend and delete a security group in WealthWorks+.

To set up a new Security Group select Options, System Administration, Contact Security Groups.
(00:26) Click on + to 'Add a Security Group', Give the group a descriptive name to help identify it, such as a location, risk level or Entity Type, press 'Save'. Ensure the relevant group is selected from the drop-down list, you can filter the entity list using the control level filter settings on the left.
(01:10) To add or remove all records on the page, use the tick box at the top of the column. Alternatively, you can select multiple lines at a time, to remove Entities from the group, remove the ticks, once you have finished making changes, click ‘Save’.
(01:52) When in 'Contact Security Groups', if a contact is highlighted in red, this means that they are not members of any Contact Security Groups and will not be accessible in WealthWorks+. Once they are added to a group they will no longer be shown in red.
(02:10) To edit the name of the group, select the group from the drop-down list and click the 'Edit' button, amend the name and click 'Save', to delete an entire group, ensure the group is not in use (no Contacts attached to it) select the group from the drop-down list click the delete button, then confirm the deletion by 'Delete' again.
(02:56) To manage a user's Security Group access, you need to be in 'User Administration' section of 'System Administration' find the relevant user then click on the 'Action' button and select 'Edit', go to the 'Contact Security' tab and click in the 'WealthWorks+ Security Groups' box, select the relevant groups from the drop-down list. You can select several groups for the user depending on their role’s requirement. To remove a user's access to a Security Group, click on the X to the left of the group's name. When the users Security Groups are set appropriately, click 'Save'.
