This video tutorial will show you how to use the new Document Store. The Document Store is a new shared directory in which documents can be created, shared and maintained within WealthWorks+.

The video will show you how to upload documents, sort them into folders and also download them when you need to access a document.

As the Document Store runs on the server and not locally on a user's computer, it cannot see the same folder structure that a user has. Unfortunately, it therefore does not allow you to link to documents within your existing folder structure, but instead will require a copy of the document to be moved into the Document Store.

The folder structure is currently added through Troika Administrator, not WealthWorks+. Within the Client tab in Troika Administrator, and the menu option Client Details - Edit, navigate to the Documents tab. Any existing document stores will be shown on the right, in the Store Filter field. To add further store options, select Write a Letter, then the Edit button to the right of the Store field. New entries can be added to the bottom of that Document Folder List displayed. Click Close to exit.

To attach a document to a contact or an entity, select the documents tab and then either click on the upload icon and find the file using Windows Explorer, or simply drag the file into the drag and drop area.

(00:25) If you need to upload a file but the file is not compatible you can change the settings to accept any file type, however even if you have access to the settings, you should check with your system administrator before making any changes.

(00:42) You can access all the documents uploaded to the system by going to the Document Store option under Organiser on the left-hand menu. There is a search option and Actions available here, which are also available on the Documents tab of an individual entity. From the Actions button you can download the document and edit the properties. You can also download the file directly by clicking on the file name.
